Europeans don't tend to have presidential debates; they just elect whomever. Much of Europe doesn't even have presidents. Therefore, this has to be conducted in the American style. QED.

The first debate will take place on Monday. Candidates, please confirm your intention to attend.

I suggest that we just set up a debate week since I happen to start classes on Monday.

I said much of Europe. I know Germany and France have presidents. So do we. He's a figurehead certainly. Other countries don't. I just think using the American model is the best way to do this. And the most fun.
