The Batlord

There aren't many bands in the genre, but rap djent is apparently a thing with at least two bands. And it's actually not the worst thing ever recorded.







It actually makes some kind of sense beyond just the potential novelty. Meshuggah are all about repetitive rhythms, so if there's one non-****ty genre that could work with hip hop, then I guess it's djent. I'll check out both of these bands' albums, but I'm still not anticipating brilliance. The second video is actually better than a lot of djent that I've heard though. It helps that the vocalists for both of these bands are actually not just stereotypically bad white boy rappers.
