that they like: it just happens to be a bit obscure to most -
maybe saying why it moves them -
and other people who've never heard of it can comment.
Instead of trying to one-up other people,
they can just expand other people's interests (or not).
You know: having a music discussion?
People win even if they don't like it 'cause at least
they had a chance to form an opinion by gaining
some knowledge. The tunes that have already been
posted that I didn't know, I've gained from hearing
them and by checking out more about the groups.
Yeah but what's the fun in that? If you want to do something like that post in the thread grouping not called "Games, List, Jokes, and Polls" If Trollheart wanted to make a game out of this, which he did, then he should be able to do that. If you want an obscure music rec thread then by all means make one. I don't see the problem with this thread though.

I didn't say he shouldn't do it.
I'm just saying that things like
this end up in a shit-storm of
disagreements about "rules."

...and, actually, there's lots of
fun in talking about music.

Yeah I see that. TH should have made more clear cut rules from the beginning. Then there wouldn't be any disagreements...

I'd rather take the road of "no rules."

And making a thread about talking about the most obscure music, that has rules that disqualifies the most obscure music, defeats the purpose of having an obscure music thread.

An obscure music thread is a self-defeating idea. As soon as someone posts obscure music they expose it to the multitudes and consequently destroys its obscurity.

You guys are taking this too seriously. Trollheart just wanted to play a game.

And we're fixing his broken game.

I agree with Bats though. I knew this was a broken game from the beginning.
