I used my top 10 (by different artists) on my last.fm chart so these were the albums:

Sufjan Stevens — Illinois
Iron & Wine — The Shepherd's Dog
The Magnetic Fields — 69 Love Songs
Brand New — Your Favorite Weapon
Bon Iver — For Emma, Forever Ago
The Avett Brothers — Emotionalism
Gorillaz — Demon Days
The Smiths — The Queen Is Dead
Elliott Smith — Elliott Smith
Kanye West — The Life Of Pablo

nothing obscure at all there
will try it again later and actively choose the albums

Even I know several of these. Isn't Magma that band mentioned in the Jodorowsky's Dune documentary? Still, not exactly not obscure, but I think InnerSpaceBoy takes the prize with ease. I know nothing on his list by name (Except Underworld, sort of, from the album club).

The real prize is my dank taste in music. And I now realize that I don't even have any metal or punk on there.

Not sure I follow the logic here. So music is better if more have heard about it? And how high is too high?

I put in strictly the names of bands I had been in and I got 99.9%.
