Actually, this is kind of easier than I first thought:
Like a Hurricane by N Young Hurricane by B Dylan And the following gem by Hurricane Smith. (Don't miss the elegant way he sometimes holds the microphone: if that's not rock 'n' roll class, I don't know what is) Coming next: 3 songs that use the word "love" in the title. Just give me a week to do the research.... |

Despite my earlier grumbles, this is quite an intriguing game in its way.
Roy Milton of Kansas City, helped put the city on the musical map; he had a hit with this song in 1945. It is one of the first mixes of the trademark Kansas City jump blues style with a rock beat - or so says the article I've been reading. Back in the days when The Beatles were still performing covers of old classics. 1964 Cover of a Count Basie song (native of Kansas City), by a band put together in 1996 for the Robert Altman film. |
Nice tangent, Lis.
We'd play this game irl quite a few years ago. I wish I could remember them all, but once in a while I'll hear a tune and it'll spark a memory. |
^ Thanks, Plankton. My apologies for my earlier comment.
I imagine it wasn't quite so easy to play it in real life without the internet to hand to help check some details. |
Hey no worries my man.
I had a few friends that were quite well versed in all things music, so it was very rare to call BS on anything. It was just a constructive way to pass the time while drinking a few brews. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dbRdzATXBE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAkvb2Rhces https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdpAop7gp0w Space junk. |
