If you were allowed to only own one CD...

What would it be?

This is like the toughest question ever. I think I would pick Binary Star's Waterworld.

You?

IamAlejo 12-23-2003 09:14 PM

thrice "Identity Crisis"

I'd have to go with that.

MobilizeTerror 12-23-2003 10:04 PM

Anti-Flag's The Terror State

IamAlejo 12-23-2003 10:05 PM

thats a good cd...haha, there are so many....id hide a couple other cd's in the one cd case

MobilizeTerror 12-23-2003 10:10 PM

The new Anti-Flag rocks, but actually I buy a mega cd for 50 bucks that can store 24 hours of music, and download off of kazaa all my favorite bands... woo hoo

GOD_there_is_no_ 12-23-2003 10:21 PM

If the situation was true and that was your only cd and i was your neighbour i would not think twice about walking into your home and destroying everything you own.I would take great personal delight in throwing every little piece of your personal property into a huge pile, including your last ever, one and only cd,and torching the fookin lot!!! Whilst drinking heavily, pointing and laughing at you,and listening to my choice,Specials by Specials.

Why on earth did you ever join a music forum? Your answer is so vague as to indicate you couldn't really give a f**k what you listened to!! What a worthless and meaningless post that really was.

There got that out of my system.

Shan 02-27-2004 03:17 PM

I feel the only option for me here is to cheat, so I say my one CD would be a compilation of (proper) ska, punk, soul, reggae, rocksteady, smooth tracks and the like.

Edgil 02-27-2004 08:06 PM

Rage Against the Machine - "Battle of Los Angeles"

- Smack - 03-07-2004 06:32 PM

my mix CD.. of all the songs I like..

that way, i'm happy

Thrice 03-07-2004 09:28 PM

i was gunna say a mix...

Thrice identity crisis

JackJeckel 03-07-2004 11:01 PM

Either Alkaline Trio - S/T or Biggie - Life After Death

northern_angel455 05-31-2004 05:50 PM

Assuming I'm not allowed a mix CD I made myself it would have to be the Chilis greatest hits.

You see I could not live without Scar Tissue but equally could not live without Under the Bridge and Give It Away.

F*ck I'd miss my other Chilis, Beatles, James, Travis and Radiohead albums something chronic though. :ar_15s:

kezzarocks 05-31-2004 06:02 PM

I like this option.

Well this question is an inverted way of asking what the greatest CD ever is. Which is boring. Even the best CD ever is going to get old real fast. We have CD's we could "listen to forever" because we don't have to.

I have yet to find a CD from one artist that actually sounds like a mix CD but I suppose I'd take Wait's "Rain Dogs." Its not even my favorite but its got about 5 to 12 diffrent genres on it. I'd miss my anthemaic stadium rock, and my driving metal and techno, but I'd "live" with just Rain Dogs.

If I was picking soemthing fun and colorful, maybe Queens of the Stone Age "R"

Promise me if I ever make it to England you'll show me how running gleefully looks.

Raine 12-29-2006 02:46 AM

It would either be a Cursive CD or a MSI CD

Alo 12-29-2006 06:07 AM

Queens of the stone age - lullabies to paralyze

It's not the best cd I own. But I'll never get sick of non-stop listening to it.

Karen Hegarty - No Lullaby

Absolutely the only album that could get me through.

riseagainstrocks 12-29-2006 12:00 PM

actually a decent bumped thread.

I really can't narrow it down but I have yet to tire of Gojira's - From Mars To Sirius. And I've listened through it AT LEAST 60-70 times.

littleknowitall 12-30-2006 05:40 PM

pink floyd - the wall

swim 12-30-2006 05:44 PM

Tool-Undertow because I'm a predictable fanboy.

jazzed 12-30-2006 06:53 PM

"Mary Lowe - Jazz Diva"

God I dunno. Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I think a mixed cd of all my favorite Blind Guardian Songs. If I cannot burn a cd with the same artist I'd go with BG's "Nightfall in Middle Earth"

EDIT: Or "Tommy" by The Who.

littleknowitall 12-31-2006 07:11 AM

I've changed my mind, i'm stealing his second answer ^ that or combat rock by the clash no wait....grrr....yeah one of those, i'll narrow it down eventually.

gottaSCREM 12-31-2006 09:15 AM

Either Tool's Lateralus/Salival or King Crimsons ITCOTCK, or possibly even something by Colour Haze.

I'd love to call on an album like Bullhead, but without any other albums to compliment or contrast it, I know I'd probably get pretty bored pretty quick, an album with a bit of variety sounds good to me.
