I have a date with playoff baseball this Monday, Go Guards! Cleveland Rocks!

Because of this...the Wednesday concert by Billy Bremner's Rockfiles featuring Bobby Cochran is more of a coin flip than it was before.

Making things more difficult is looking at the setlist from the first night of their current U.S. tour.

Background info. Billy Bremner was in the band Rockpile that included Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds. He is backed by a Swedish all-star band and is joined on this tour by Eddie Cochran's nephew, Bobby.

Setlist from Roctober 2nd.

That setlist is two thumbs up from me! Decisions, decisions...

Riders In The Sky are a country-western comedy troupe. They've been around forever and have been on Grammy award winning albums, appearances at the Grand Ole Opry and were regulars on the early days of Nashville Network.

Blues one weekend and country the next, I'm like a chameleon.

Only other upcoming show so far is Amyl and the Sniffers next May.

Tix purchased for:

4/1/2025 - Al Stewart and Livingston Taylor - Date night for me and Mrs. Drjohnrock. Livingston is more like Loudon Wainwright III than his famous brother James (that's a compliment, btw).

7/2025 - The Mekons and Johnny Dowd - I've never seen the full Mekons band. That ends this summer. And having Dowd, my favorite solo artist, opening makes it even better. I've seen Jon Langford in two of his other projects, Skull Orchard and Bad Luck Jonathan, but never with his main band. Really looking forward to it. Also, it's at the City Winery in Pittsburgh, and I've never been to a show before at anuy City Winery location.

Two for the first month of 2025, one I'll try my best to attend, the other I'm on the fence about"

1/24 - Webb Wilder

The "Americana" tag applied to Webb is pretty much nonsense. He is a straight forward rock and roller who always puts on a good show. I saw him earlier this year, but that was after not seeing him for several years.

1/11 - Koffin Kats

I don't know about seeing these guys. Anyone ever seen them live, or have any thought about their music?
