Default Covers Of Songs Written By Bob Dylan

I'm starting this thead because a lot of people respect Dylan's songwriting but don't like his voice. Here's a beautifully understated cover of Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You by Ann Peebles:

I think there's been, like, a zillion covers of The Times They Are A Changin'.

The Hendrix version came to my mind first but that one's probably too obvious, so here's the XTC version...

XTC - All Along the Watchtower

Knockin' On Heaven's Door - cover by Warren Zevon

Don't Think Twice It's Alright - cover by Clarence Gatemouth Brown and Maria Muldaur

Dylan's "Don't Think Twice It's Alright" was an adaptation of his friend Paul Clayton's song "Who's Gonna Buy You Ribbons (When I'm Gone)". That was an adaptation of an old traditional song "Who's Gonna Buy Your Chickens". Paul's song was beautiful.

I think I posted the videos properly. Still a noob.

I had never heard Zevon's version of this tune before. Thanks for posting it. Zevon doesn't really bring anything new to the song. But it's interesting hearing him sing it.
