hello! i really like playing piano and stuff and im learning guitar because i think that could help me more achieve the sound that i want, but what ive always really sucked at is lyrics, i dont mean to write anything too poetic .. for example i really like early gorillaz stuff which consists of pretty random lyrics, but even if i try to think of something basic im kinda lost, any tips on what i could try as a first step? and whats up everyone im happy to find this forum its cool

Welcome to the board Clyde. One thing I've always heard is "write about what you know." Another is to read, as much and as widely as you can. But if all else fails, consider joining forces with a good lyric writer. A lot of well known musicians have done that.
