Default Cover Versions Of Songs You Would Like To Hear

I'd like to hear Willie Nelson cover Elvis Costello's "Motel Matches". I think the tune is very adaptable to his singing style. I'd like to hear him really sing it, not some AI nonsense.

Many years ago, the thought of the L.A. punk band 'X' playing an up-tempo cover of "The Hammer Song" by Pete Seeger & Lee Hays, popped into my mind. It still seems like a good match to me all these years later.

I can hear Exene and John singing it in my mind. Good choice.

I wish that this clip was longer than just one minute but instead was of the whole song performance. I never cared for the song that is done, but what we get of John during this one minute only makes me want to hear him sing the rest of the song.

God bless you and John Foster always!!!

I've got to say, he puts a different, interesting spin on the tune from the way George Jones did it. Jones' version of the song is the one I'm most familiar with. For the uninitiated, the tune is "Tennessee Whiskey."

This is one that probably never would've come to my mind if I hadn't stumbled across it on YouTube several years ago. Very well done audio & video mashup of two of my favorite groups with the creator of the clip adding his own sax playing to the mix...

Dave Brubeck - Golden Brown

Seconded. It's really well done and it's nice to have The Stranglers in the same universe as Dave Brubeck

Done by the Cure of the pop era, circa Lovecats and the Head on the Door, this would be an eccentric and infectious pop masterpiece rather than the pleasant middle of the road song it is

I am waiting on John Foster from last year's American Idol season to give us the rest of the old country song named "For The Good Times".
