4 Attachment(s)
Can anyone tell me who the attached bands might be. We are completing a little test and we have 270 of them to work out I am hoping to post some of the ones we are stuck on on here.
If anyone can help it would be really appreciated. Kind Regards Jodi |

|
Still Looking
Thanks, maybe someone else might have some idea?????
Regards Jodi |
Hi,
I think I might know 3 of them. The numbers I've written are the jpg numbers on the files. Its difficult to tell at the moment though, because the pictures were very small. 3 - Transvision Vamp 8 - Texas (I think it Sharleen Spiteri, the lead singer, with the black hair at the front. Search the web for her to see if you agree.) 12 - Sparks (I'm sure about this one) 13 - I have no idea about this one. They are most likely a band from the mid 80's though, as this is I think when the other photographs would have been taken. Hope that helps. Please nobody give me hassle for this knowledge of 80's musicians. I've watched VH1 a few times and happen to have an extremely good memory for faces. |
Why did somebody reply to say they didn't know? You is a crazy man!
|
But I like your style.
|
Amazing stuff
Thanks heaps for the reply - the 3 you thought you knew were right. Cant believe I did not recognise transmission vamp.
I have some more to check on - will post them later. Thanks once again. Attachment 13 is still a mystery though. Jodi |
No problem.
Actually, if I had to take a wild guess at no 13 I would have guessed 'Men at Work' who I think did that 'I come from the Land Down Under' sometime in the mid 80s. This some of the guys in the photo were wearing those baggy sleeveless tops that only Australians, rednecks and guys with bad mullets wear. These guys didn't look like rednecks or have particularly bad mullets (if I remember correctly), so I figure they're probably Australian. They weren't AC/DC, I don't think they were INXS and they definitely weren't Crowded House or Silverchair! So I would guess they were Men at Work. I have no idea what they look like though, so this is a silly guess inspired by a weird string of logic. If not, they might instead be Tears for Fears, who were from Scotland, but I guess could also have worn those funny outfits. The guy just to left of centre in the photo looked vaguely like the lead singer and it seemed he was the one you were supposed to focus on in the photo, judging by his expression. |
Actually, no I don't know. I just looked at the photo again and have no idea.
|
No not men at work have tried it - but have some more

Hope someone can help with these too!

No 27 is probably Simple Minds
No 29 might be Fairground Attraction (featuring Eddie Redder) |
Also
19 - Don't Know 21 - The Jam 22 - The Style Council 23 - I can't even see this picture! 26 - The So Solid Crew? For no. 19, there were lots of bands around during the 80's that had a slightly ginger frontwoman and the picture is so out of focus that it could be any of them. Likewise for no. 23 - its somebody who's a bit fat, wears glasses and is out of focus. |
thanks heaps

Thanks don't run me over so much for your help.
Yes 21 and 22 were right, i also have not idea about 23. 26 also correct but 19 and 29 still a problem. 27 is not simple minds, i tried it and it said it was incorrect.. I have some more to post too. If you get sick of this it is ok. We have 270 to get in total and have about 80 that we are stuck on so as well as searching we are posting some of the pics on different sites. Believe it or not this is all in the aid of a 'bet' for a couple of drinks. lol Thanks heaps once again. Jodi |

Thanks. I doubt that its a marketable skill. Don't read anything into it about my taste in music. Its just a very good visual memory at work! |
70 - MUD
73 - Ocean Colour Scene 88 - The Eagles No. 55 look somehow familiar. I'm certain I haven't seen 82 anywhere before. Keep them coming! |
73 and 88 were right, but 70 is not mud. Any other suggestions? lol

He is up to 224 but started 2 weeks before us. If you happen to see any that look familiar any help would be great. Kind Regards Jodi |

82= the stranglers.

Jesus H. Christ! No. 99 looks like Angie (Anita Dobson) from BBC's Arse-enders (I mean Eastenders!).
Terrifying!!! :yikes: Edit. My wife thinks; 42 = Busted. 45 = Wet Wet Wet. 50 = Pink Floyd. 51 = Led Zep. 55 = The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown (he sang 'Fire'). 70 = The Kinks. (thats my guess). |
