elements of punk rock such as the buzzsaw guitars, fast bass-snare-bass-bass-snare drum beats, the snappy tone of the bass. it blends well with ska. if it has the prefix or suffix punk, then its going to have some of the above elements in it, not just a band that doesnt have technical skill. and punk FASHION is about having spikey hair peircings etc, you dont' have to look like a punk to be into punk music in my opinion.

haha.....no matter how different you try to make your style.....everyone will classify you as a genre that already exists.

there are too many subgenres of subgenres to go around making up new ones.

Nu - metal did pretty well but thats because they're at the bottom of the barrel and couldn't make it any other genre than "new - metal".

Welljust make some crazy subgenra of metal like ummm how boute bunny metal. All aboute rabbits and eating carrots. Wow that was uber lame.
