I suggest everyone listen to Twilight (song) or XO (album). He's really good, one of the few indie artists I like.

I havent heard much of his original material, though i did like his cover of The Beatles Because for the American Beauty soundtrack.

Elliott smith is damn good. Agreed.

The man was incredible though. Shame he had to stab himself in the heart. Everyone should go and buy 'Figure 8'.

And that affects his ability to create some of the most spectacular, some of the most inspirational music .. :crazy:

dear god no man figure 8 is his worst. get xo or either/or. or roman candle or self titled. or basement. i dont really like figure 8 and im the biggest elliott fan that ever lived.

I agree with this. Either/Or is amazing. Figure 8 is good but for Elliott Smith one of his worst.

Elliott smith is so ridiculously good. I really love listening to him. Beatles-esque melody + heartfelt songwriting + angelic voice = very pleasing to mein ears.

Elliott Smith is great, either/or is one Hell of an album.

I love XO, Figure 8, Either/Or, From A Basement on the Hill, Elliott Smith, Roman Candle. All of them basically, but maybe XO or Either/Or the best ... Can't Make A Sound, Waltz #2 are beautiful.

Usual indie singer songwriter stuff , nothing that special.

I knew a grand total of 2 people who`d heard of him before he croaked.

No one I know has heard of him or his music, people keep telling me he's a girl.

a) He is not female..

b) If you have yet to hear any of his music, I recommend you do so...start anywhere you like.. i guarantee you will admire his art within minutes.

nah nevermind, downloaded twilight if i really dislike 2 songs by a guy i doubt im gonna like the rest of his work.

I'm in a very Elliott Smith mood. He was wonderful song writer. xo is my favorite album.

I only like one CD. Either/Or.
I have the CD with the songs you downloaded, and I don't like a single song off the CD. Give Either/Or a try.
