I have over 300 cds, over 100 7's, and my dad and I share a HUGE lp collection which has everything he liked as a kid all the way to what I like as a kid. Its really cool acctualy. I would say theres probobly at least 1000 lps but the majority are my dads. I only have about 100. I've been looking into getting it all insured sometime soon so I think I'll be working on one of those spread sheets sometime soon.

I made that list independent of this thread, so I could keep a check on which I had and which I'd lent out to various people. I can't be bothered to count them as well.

about 87 albums, 2 singles and 52 burned CD's.

Over 2000 cds, 300+ vinyl, 100+ tapes, 100 7inchs and now a fair few burnt.

How do you have the money to buy that many CDs?! I have about 350, and I thought that wasnt too bad...

Many years of buying. when i started working it got a bit out of hand. used to buy a lot of stuff from fairs and distros. usually cheap and you hear new bands. Buying on promo is cheap to.

around 50-60 cd's probably like 3 or 4 burned cd's...

I had a part time job when I was 12 years old & have been working ever since.

It works out something like 120 a year which is only about 2 a week plus birthdays / Xmas & Shopping sprees.

Oh ...and i`m paid well...ha!

Mind you having said that I bought 23 albums over the weekend.

I have more cassettes then I do CD's..I have more Vinyl then I do cassettes...but if I were to guess...I would say about 2 dozen...CD's....40 Vinyls...and about 30 or so cassettes.

like 20....i never used to have to bother, had an archive on my pc where i used to spend most of my time, i no longer get to hear music much, a small selection of burned cds and a canned heat album is all i own :(

that's how i broke the majrity of my old collection, pissed and bored, made a game out of cd flinging....:( regreted it the next morning.

Something to touch and hold is the only reason to buy. mp3 players are dumb.
