I have finally (sort of ) made my descision.
#1) The White Stripes, solid songwriting and excellent variety. I feel that they are worthy of all the praise they have gotten critically however, I do NOT feel that they have made their masterpiece yet. #2) Death From Above 1979. Europe is freaking out about these guys. Typical Canadian band that has to go elsewhere in order to further their career. This album may not be much more than indie buzz right now but I would bet a week's salary that their next album is going to be HUGE!!! |
on the contrary, i dont think there's anything better then a loud blast of the DFA'79 album
|
Explosions in the Sky probably.
They're pretty groovy. |

i dunno, i suppose they're allright to see live, but i definetly wouldn't say they're the best band in the last 5 years, especially considering the likes of the white stripes, queens of the stone age, the mars volta, franz ferdinand, the arcade fire, coldplay...

However, I still wouldn't call EitS the best band of the past 5 years, I was just commenting that I was going to see them live. I'd pick Broken Social Scene or Mono. |

Either way, it's in London. And me and London don't mix well.

newcomer alert!!!
Hello i am a newcomer to this site, so be nice:)
the best artist from the past 5 years is a hard question. I would have said Doves, because they are an amazing band, and perfect live, but Jack Johnson??? what a god he is, the next Bob Dylan |
