I use Vista and don't have a problem with it. If your computer shuts down and or crashes while the scrobbler is in use (with WMP mind you), then windows will ignorantly assume that last.fm caused the crash and won't let it run until you uninstall and reinstall.

It just informs me 'last.fm has stopped working' and closes the damn thing.
WMP and windows are unaffected...

btw, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Usually always when WMP initiates.
