Is that the Weller track? I remember Jones doing a song or two with Weller but I forget which ones.

I WAS a Phonics fan and still have a soft spot for the first two records but I don't care all that much for their stuff after that. Some of it has been alright.

His voice works in the Phonics, doesnt sound too fitting to this record though. I am listening to it again now actually and I like it. We Share The Same Kool especially stands out.

Yep, it's the Weller track. For the benefit of anyone who doesn't know what we're on about;

I'll admit to liking Maybe Tomorrow, but otherwise I'm not so keen on any Phonics stuff after their first two efforts either. You're right with Jones' voice not really fitting Manchild's kinda sound. The tune with Sadat X on vocals is an idea of how much better the idea could have worked. Still a good track though.

not so much a double standard as it is people who aren't mature enough to take criticism or see that not everyone likes the same things they do.

i like Radiohead, i really respect them as artists. i wouldn't be surprised if i went and got the rest of their discography.
