You'd be surprised. Reminds me of a funny story, actually. Was at a restaurant with a couple of friends and one of them said something to the effect of "Emo is basically pop when it started. Now it's more like Goth." I didn't feel like getting into it, so I just asked him "So, why do they call it emo if it's just pop or goth music?"

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

This reminds me of a conversation my sister and mom had about Panic! At the Disco, a band my sister claims is both emo and revolutionary.

My mom said something like, "I don't see that it's edgy or any different than the pop music on the radio you claim to hate. To me it just sounds like the Backstreet Boys decided to start cussing in their songs."

Another friend of mine called Panic! at the Disco "the most poetic music" he's ever heard. Not gonna touch that one.

That's when I'd get up and smack the **** out of him. Please, for the love of god... make your friends listen to some of that wonderful music you have... they'll thank you.
