When I was in my band we used to routinely ruin Summer of 69 with ska breaks and stuff. The kids loved it :pimp:

except i'm sure you weren't ruining it, any change to that song would be an improvement. Whoever mentioned madonna's cover of american pie is dead on, i think that has to be one of the worst covers in the history of music.

I don't think I've ever heard a bad version of Summer of '69 - even at kareoke! It is just the sort of song that gets everyone groovin along. I guess the more influenced you are by alcohol, the better it sounds.

Alien Ant Farm did a pretty bad job on "Smooth Criminal" too!!!:nono: Alien Ant Farm simply didn't make "Smooth Criminal" sound better...
...you just get to hear a worse version that was played too much!!!What a damn shame, ya know?
