i'd have to say now that Asleep by the Smiths is the saddest song ever, if you've ever heard it you'd agree

yeah indeed, that is a good shout.

honestly though I believe "Embrace" by Low is unbeatable to my ears in terms of being the saddest, most moving thing ever recorded.
