From Cosmic Left Feild... 01-13-2006 11:48 PM

No but I have potential, what do you think I would like?

Accipiter 01-13-2006 11:49 PM

Somethin' tells me you wouldn't like them o_O

From Cosmic Left Feild... 01-13-2006 11:53 PM

Well thats rather prejudice, why would you say something like that?

lol I don't mean it in a bad way, but i've seen you on other threads and what you liked. You might like DCD, but they're opera/haunting-ish music. Check them out and get back to me and we'll see. :)

Dead Can Dance tribute - any other fans?

A Dead Can Dance tribute track, a cover of 'Anywhere Out of the World' has been posted at post death soundtrack dot com.

For those of you who haven't heard Dead can Dance, look them up. They are a classic band. Buy these albums.

Dead Can Dance (1984)
Spleen and Ideal (1985)
Within the Realm of a Dying Sun (1987)
The Serpent's Egg (1988)
Aion (1990)
Into the Labyrinth (1993)
Toward the Within (1994)
Spiritchaser (1996)

Any other DCD fans on the board?

Also don't forget the Garden of Arcane Delights EP which came out between Dead Can Dance and Spleen and Ideal.

DCD's music is unbelievable. Every album pays more and more dividends every time you listen to it. There's such a wealth of beauty and complexity in the music. Fair warning though, if you don't enjoy world-music type sounds, you may not enjoy DCD's music, but I'd suggest at least giving the first album a shot.

Great band!

And subject the individual to one of the worst produced albums in their discography? :o:

Agree though. One of the great bands. Zarko and I have given their discography an extensive revue from here >> http://www.musicbanter.com/members-j...tml#post530338 onwards.

Perhaps, but it's also the most raw because of that.

And career wise raw they were not. I have no problem you liking it but it is not the album I would recommend to a newbie.
