Hello , 1982 called. It`s time for you to go back now

And she's still preoccupied ... with 1985...

Dear Lord please forgive me for that. It just reminded me of it. :(

That might be due to the fact Iron Maiden were so popular.

When I was a kid you never admitted to liking both bands , you were either Maiden or Priest, due to some feud they had between them.

damn you there still known for being metal gods they will never lose that image that they once had, that band won't be forgotten as easy as half of the bands that came out in that time. that band done great things. open your eyes and realize. i mean i know and expect that there not as great now.. but come on they weren;t just known as metal gods in 82 are you crazy. they had there down hill in the 80's as well but also came back time and time again. and there still rocking.. Angle of retributin isn't the greatsist album i know this but there other 80's older albums not only from the begining were great. and if theres not many priest fans it because music and the way its been shown to the world, to sell to get people's attention we very well know that priest and other older bands don't get noticewd half as much as what they could be, in saying that how can you expect teenagers to notice them and love thme for what they were and still have going on... for not being well shown to kids nowa days they still have a rather large fan base..

thats its i'm done

Yeah apparently Priest accused Maiden of copying their style or some sh1t like that.

I think both bands are great.

I never knew they feuded. :O

Metal bands are always feuding with each other. Iron Maiden doesn't like Black sabbath, they don't like Iron Maiden, Kerry King doesn't like Metallica, Exhorder doesn't like Panter and Dave Mustaine... Well he doesn't like anybody.

Noooo , runs much deeper than that.

Maiden supported Preist on their British Steel tour , this was supposed to be the tour that catapulted Priest into superstardom. Maiden were going down a hell of a lot better than Priest were , so Priest decided to stop letting them have soundchecks & basically treated them like ****.

The following year Priest concentrated on America at the expense of their British fan base & put out the awful Point Of Entry album while Maiden`s popularity got stronger & stronger.

After that Priest put out Screaming For Venegence & became huge in the US & totally turned their backs on the UK , in fact they didn`t play a gig in the UK for 6 years afterwards in 1988. Leaving a lot of hardcore Priest fans feeling pissed off. Meanwhile during that time Maiden stayed loyal to their British fans & became the biggest metal band from there. Both bands refused to ever be on the same bill as each other & avoided each other like the plague.

In fact it wasn`t until 1992 that the 2 bands finally buried the hatchet.

Yeah there are lots of feuds between metal bands.

I don't think it's true that Dave Mustaine doesn't like anyone. I think he's a really cool guy. You can probably tell from my avatar that I'm a Mustaine fan. lol

.

Yeah I knew that but I didn't realise it was so bitter. Why did they suddenly drop it in 1992? (Sorry about the double post)
