Hmm I guess it goes with the mood of the performance. Can see how hype, elevation and rowdiness could invest in the energy. U2 were the closest I've seen where it was pulled off well. I bet a lot of punk bands do too. Sadly I haven't seen any.

I can imagine U2 could utilise a large stadium or outdoors setting well, yeah. Of the bands I have seen, the Foo Fighters also take to it rather well. I think music generally is better and more powerful in settings with a little more intimacy but I still think theres a time and a place, and bands who can do it well.

Going to see The Pineapple Thief tomorrow night, I think. Not 100% yet but it's looking that way.

I'm gonna see Grizzly Bear at First Avenue on Oct. 1. Should be an amazing show!

Hoping to add Red Fang/Black Tusk at the Troubadour in Hollywood to my concert viewing on OCT 28TH.

Devo and Blondie was incredible at the Greek last night. Cant believe how beautiful Debbie Harry still is. And both sets were outstanding.

Yeah, Buckethead tonight. Hope there are still tickets available. I worry whether its a good idea to spend 25-30 dollars on music at this time in my life, but I think I need to go. 3:30 now, better make up my mind and get movin'.
