Scorpions/Queensryche this Saturday.
Here Come The Mummies on Friday of next week.

Seeing the Scorpions will be kind of a milestone, since they were my very first concert I went to back in 1983. A Tate-less Queensryche will be iffy at best. Mummies... they never disappoint.

Going to see Shelter tonight.

Ken Vandermark - Saxophone
Nate Wooley - Trumpet
Jasper Stadhouders - Guitar, Bass
Steve Heather - Drums

I've seen Vandermark a few years ago in a duo with Paal Nilssen-Love and it was mindblowing. Hope it's gonna be as fun today. I always wanted to see Nate Wooley live.

Why do these *******s never come to Southern California? Have fun man, sounds like a great show (not as great as the Vandermark/Nilssen-Love duo though, their stuff together is amazing).

Damn trains didn't run so I couldn't get to the concert. Sucks.

If their shows are still anything like they were when I last saw them back in the early 1990's, I would recommend wearing old clothing and old footwear to the show because you won't be able to hide from the spew coming from the stage. Their hoses and catapult can send fake body liquids and fake dung into the farthest reaches of any club.

I'm thinking about seeing either The Get Up Kids or Corrosion of Conformity. Both tickets are pretty cheap though, distance is the main factor.

Anyone on here planning on going to The Fest 15 next month?

I'm going to be seeing Opeth for their 25 year anniversary show in NYC. It's also their 10 year anniversary since releasing Ghost Reveries, which is my personal favorite. I can't believe I'm going to witness them play Reverie/Harlequin Forest. This is too much.

I have my tickets for Jason Isbell in November, and if everything lines up correctly may try and catch Drive By Truckers next month. Two of my all time favorites within a month of one another, no complaints here.

Haven't been to a show in ages due to being broke as a joke, but I just found out the lineup from the Deliverance-era of Corrosion of Conformity are playing in my area on December 9th, and there's no way I won't be there. There are just so few dedicated music venues in the area, and the only big, non-corporate whore one doesn't have too many shows I'd care to see, so this is like mana from heaven for me.

Stoked.
