I've seen him with Hot Tuna a couple of times both acoustic and electric and I saw him with Jefferson Airplane when I was too young to really appreciate what I was seeing & hearing. This will be my first time seeing him do a solo acoustic set. He has a strict "no audio or video recording" policy though, so I won't have anything to share from the show. :(

The "No audio/video" policy actually makes for a more immersed experience, imo. I saw a Pat Metheny show like that and it was incredible.

After years, and years, and years, and even more years of hearing Jefferson Airplane, I never realized that was Jorma on guitar/vocals. I knew of him through Hot Tuna, and his solo stuff, but I never dug any farther into his career. Mostly, I just remember trying to learn one of his tunes that had been featured in a guitar rag back in the 80's.

I'm super excited to see this, it'll be my first Residents show (and the last tour with Chuck Bobuck iirc).

I will at the very least be stoned out of my mind when I see this.

I saw the previous two tours which were parts 1 & 2 of this trilogy, so I feel that I absolutely have to see the third installment. I also saw them on the Wormwood tour and the Cube-E tour and every time I've seen them it's like tripping on a psychedelic drug without actually ingesting a psychedelic drug.

I imagine you'll enjoy it!

Shaky Knees Festival in May, then Brand New & Modest Mouse at Madison Square Garden in July. Couldn't be more pumped.
