I ended up not seeing any of the shows I listed a few pages back besides Creepoid. Might make up for it tonight by getting out to see Brooklyn to see Purple and Dirty Dishes. I'll post songs below. Should be fun.
|
Next up for me is Electric Picnic just outside of Dublin in September, I think. Blur, Interpol, Alvvays, Manic Street Preachers, Jon Hopkins, Underworld, Grace Jones, Hot Chip, Ride, Belle & Sebastian, Jurassic 5, Chvrches, FKA Twigs, Future Islands, Battles and loads of others that I can't remember right now..
After that I'm seeing Deftones in Wembley Arena in November. So so pumped for that. |
ok godspeed was good but damn I think I dug lighting bolt more like wow what a show. mosh was out of control great. oxbow too was great
saw television today and it was pretty fun as well. was way too rowdy for what the show called for tho. saw drive like Jehu as well but I was near blackout so don't remember them at all. viet cong wasn't that cool tbh but again drunk. it just wasn't a good xrowd show. oh saw ice age yesterday too and they were cool hell dug the vibe of none of them giving one fuck expect the lead singer who was doing his best shawn from boy meets world impression. good festival happened and im still hammered |
Brian Wilson with Al Jardine, last night.
It was a small venue, and I was fifth row. He played literally all the hits--highlights included the last four songs in the main set ("Wouldn't It Be Nice", "Sloop John B", "God Only Knows", and "Good Vibrations"), "Wild Honey" (Blondie Chapline came out and blew the roof off), and the encore (he played "All Summer Long", "Help Me Rhonda", "Barbara Ann", "Surfin' USA", and "Fun, Fun, Fun" without pausing between songs). |
Seeing Creepoid again on the 24th. Marriages is opening. Bigger venue this time...Music Hall of Williamsburg. Hipster haven.
|
I just found out that Slim Cessna's Auto Club is playing a tiny ass venue in town on Wednesday. I'm actually a little dubious if they'll show because the place really is tiny and they have a lot of members, I just don't know how they'll fit everything on stage.
|
All I can say if Slayer tours Repentless and opens every show with Dittohead....lives will be lost.

I'll be there on Wednesday :) |
Holy sh*t. Five posts in a row. Have you ever been on the internet before?

Hi Exo. Was a really good show. Torres and Speedy Ortiz had nice sets and
Courtney was wonderful. Nice interaction with the crowd and she played a couple of songs past curfew ... |
64 more days until the funk. Gotta have my funk.

Saw Creepoid again last week and the show was even better than the first time I saw them. Seeing Chelsea Wolfe on September 9th.

^very nice.....i've seen them a few time during very different periods of their musical journey....and every time it is a psychedelic whirlwind of pleasure
Enjoy :) |
Just purchased my tickets for Judas Priest in November. Excited about seeing Priest, but what's even more exciting for me is that Mastodon will be there too. Not sure how I'll be able to wait another three months.
|
Going to see tune-Yards Saturday for a freebie in Prospect Park.
Did pick up a ticket for Kurt Vile and Waxahatchee in October at Webster |

I thought about buying some nice recording gizmo for bootlegging, but then again I'm usually to stoned at concerts to push buttons and generally doing anything besides enjoying the music. |
Chelsea Wolfe and Wovenhand September 26 in San Francisco

awesome :)
I can't see not going to this in anyway. |
I've been meaning to see her for some time now but after hearing her new album it became a priority. I already wrote Creepoid an email saying that they should pursue touring with her because it would literally kill me with joy. Still have to check out Wovenhand. I'm sure they're enjoyable.
|
you really should listen to Wovenhand.....if you like i can make you a mix of them and upload it for you
did you get into 16 Horsepower? |
Nope. Should I?
|
Yes.
|
On it.
|
OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS.
I won tickets to see Robert Plant a few months ago. That show's coming up next month. But in October... PAUL MCCARTNEY. I am going to see Paul McCartney live. I am in shock. /fangirling |
I'm a bit jealous Pet. Enjoy those.
For me...I'll be enjoying the djentiness and prog metal loving TessarACT, with supporting acts The Contortionist, ERRA, and some other band. Should be a nice evening of technical metal-ing. |
