Worst album you have in your collection

I would say The Darkness-Permission To Land. Awful, awful, awful album. It was bought for me, so I'm not guilty!

Shania Twain...Cant remember which one. It had "Dont Impress me much" and "Man I feel like a woman"...

TrampInaTux 02-11-2006 11:02 AM

Even though I have never had any of his albums, I've heard a couple of Kid Rock's songs and they weren't to bad. Nothing to shout home about but nothing to hate. They were only 2 songs, mind.

sleepy jack 02-11-2006 11:38 AM

Every Time I Die "Gutter Phenomenon"
I also have a million cliched scene albums like hawthorne heights and silverstein.

holdyoualways 02-11-2006 11:52 AM

the first good charlotte album comes to mind. i was like 12 & gave it away a year later cuz i was all "oh my god, theyre such posers!". then i stoled it back & burned it. listened to it like 3 times & never picked it up again. its not necesarily bad though.

Spike*Spiegel 02-11-2006 01:29 PM

*feels dumb* i might have, at one point, owned a limp biztkit cd...

mosesandtherubberducky 02-11-2006 01:31 PM

Green Day-American Idiot

I was hoping it would keep true to older Green Day, but they didn't except for the extremely catchy guitar parts.
or

U2-How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb

My guitar teacher used mind tricks to get me to buy this one so leave me be.

YOU LOSE. Hahah. This made me chuckle :)
Especially seeing as the rest of us have tried to explain how we came across such crap. . .
But there really is no excuse for Fred Durst =)

Spike*Spiegel 02-11-2006 01:41 PM

Hey, you guys asked for it. ;)

This is the worst album I can think of that I bought myself.
When the highlight of an album is Liam Gallagher singing with a guy from Ocean Colour Scene you know it`s gonna be bad.

For the record the normally reliable Beastie Boys & Garbage songs are bloody awful.

adidasss 02-11-2006 02:03 PM

i got some crap bob marley compilation, really bad quality, sting - the one with desert rose ( sister made me buy it ), limp bizkit - that chocolate blabla...i meant to buy the first one ( which still rocks and i don't care what you say )

oh and i'm only counting hard copy albums, i got a shitload of crappy albums on my computer....the list is too long...

jazzfromhell 02-11-2006 02:40 PM

The worst I still have in my collection that I haven't gotten rid of in some way or other is the Vines' Highly Evolved. I'm not sure what people think about these guys, I personally don't care for it, it's not unlistenable, but it's the worst of what's left.

Yeah I fell for the hype with that one too. In fact it was that album that convinced me never to listen to what music journalists said ever again.

Mr Sensitive 02-11-2006 05:16 PM

My record collection is perfect, apart from Nirvana's monstrosity, Nevermind.

TheBig3 02-11-2006 05:31 PM

one questions the brain that bought something it detests that much.

I own at least 5 of the albums said so far & I agree with all of them being here.

Bad choices happen.

He liked Nirvana until he found out it wasnt cool anymore, so now he hates them because it makes him cool.

TrampInaTux 02-12-2006 01:42 AM

I am a Nirvana fanboy, so when you say you hate Nirvana you may aswell be shooting my Grandmother. Anyway, I also own OPM's album :( I was young. I was dumb. It's not to bad of an album, but it's one of the worst one's in my collection.

boo boo 02-12-2006 01:45 AM

Well, if MP3s count as part of my collection, i have to say that the one Rusty Cooley album i downloaded is the worst...Why i was so stupid to download such crap is a mystery even to myself, i was stupid enough to buy into all the hype over this talentless douchebag, "he has amazing technical skill, fastest ****ing player on the planet, he gives Hendrix a run for his money".

Sad thing nowadays when kids confuse technical ability with musical brillance.

TrampInaTux 02-12-2006 01:51 AM

Another bad album that I have just remembered is the self titled El Presidente album. That's just bad, annoying, ear aching Pop. Scissor Sisters for poor people.

Merkaba 02-12-2006 02:12 AM

I own Linkin Park Hybrid Theory.

I own it too, but i dont think its that bad at all.

Merkaba 02-12-2006 03:07 AM

Well it's far better then Meteora at least. But I don't have that so at the bottom it stays.

To be fair Linkin Park were good by nu-metal standards when they first broke out and I loved that One Step Closer song for a long time when I was 11 or 12. But I still don't have any worse cds in my collection.

Er no, coolness has nothing to do with it. I just discovered lots of better music and I realised that Nevermind is a a piece of overated tripe.

TheBig3 02-12-2006 09:18 AM

Ia gree with urban when he says "Mistakes happen", but I also said "that much" meaning if one likes music, and then grows to dislike it, you would assume you don't want to claw your ears off if you hear it again.

And as overrated as Nevermind might be, what does that have to do with the music, I personally like alot of the vocal melodies on that album.

hahaha...11 or 12.......hahahahha.....damn....the years do go by so fast don't they....

ahem....yeah....i bought that first album, it had 2 good songs, crawling and that other one....somehow over the years, it got misplaced....i really should stop lending cds to people, no matter how bad they are, i still payed for them....

Imonlydancing 02-12-2006 10:02 AM

new radicals !
whatever the album is called.
i think my grandma brought it from a charity shop when i was about 11 for me. hahaha. a quid. oh yer.

I get bored of bands sometimes I just don`t think some songs have a long shelf life. Especially a band like Nirvana. It`s only really basic rock music played with aggression. It`s not like there are layers of sound on there that you can discover on repeated listening.I don`t think i`ve heard Nevermind in about 8 years.I don`t think it`s a bad album , it just I don`t feel rewarded for listening to it again & again
