Favorite Album Of The Week
After searching I didn't see this as having been done (kind of got a bit of the idea from urban's 100), so basically post your favorite album of the week write a little bit about it (favorite tracks, comments on lyrics etc..). It doesn't have to be a full blown essay just a little bit on the album.
Say Anything "...Is a Real Boy" Belt is a very good opening track to start it off with, its probaly one of the best tracks on the albums. The whole album is a very well put together and entertaining album. The whole thing is solid album theres not really a bad song on it. Admit It!, Every Man Has a Molly and Woe are probaly my favorites. http://www.smartpunk.com/product_images/12274.gif 1. Belt 2. Woe 3. The Writhing South 4. Alive With The Glory Of Love 5. Yellow Cat / Red Cat 6. The Futile 7. Spidersong 8. An Orgy Of Critics 9. Every Man Has A Molly 10. Slowly, Through A Vector 11. Chia-Like, I Shall Grow 12. I Want To Know Your Plans 13. Admit It |
Lets see I guess my favorite album of this week is
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg I love, lovelovelovelovelovelovelove this band. I decided to pick this one because it is reativly new to my collection and I do enjoy it. Favorite Tracks: People of the Sun Roll Right Year of tha Boomerang Down Rodeo |
roll right and year of the boomerang are such cool fuckin tunes.....
but born without a face fuckin rocks!! such a goddamn shame they split up....best fucking band ever.... |
Seeing as how I know absolutely nothing about this band aside from them being a side project of Isis, I figured it easier to c & p their own explanation of the album, from www.redsparowes.com

Actually, RATM were a band I felt actually lived up to the hype. They had something to say, they could play their instruments, they never showed up and half-assed it. I really enjoyed them.

This album is very well done and is what I am liking this week. I recomend it to anyone who likes Metal at all. Edit: I cant image the picture. :( |

It is kinda for the better that they split when they did. Look at pop music now, there are baby versions of them that don't have the balls to belt it out like them. I have a feeling that come the next American election they will play a show or something. |
Alright, I think this thread is a pretty cool idea so here I go:
Black Eyes "Cough" http://www.konkurrent.nl/nieuwsbrief/img/blackcough.jpg Where most of their DC peers (like !!!) seem to be trying to revive new wave, or, if you prefer, "dance punk," Black Eyes bring back No Wave - screeching horns layered upon screeching guitars on top of screeching half-spoken half-screamed vocals, with the occasional steady bass line to keep it from decaying completely into madness. And sometimes there are even melodies. What more could you want? |

Slint - Spiderland 6 songs and everyone is as good as the last. If this album was my mom, I'd do it. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back One of the most thought provoking albums from the late 80s. Everytime I listen to it I know it will always hold a place in my heart. |
Fall Of Troy "Ghostship Demos"
S'very very good, not exactly a proper album so i'll post two. Thirty Year War "Martyrs Among the Casualties" Alejo sent me this a week or so ago, and like I havn't stopped listening to it. Its very good and only increased my homosexual feelings towards thomas erak. |
