Apathetic towards music
Basically, im in somewhat of a slump. I really can't get into any bands/artist anymore. I can listen to stuff and be all its good, and but theres just this kind of..neh feeling when I listen to it, and lack of..love? towards the actual music. I can't really enjoy it much anymore, and i've desperatly been checking into alot of things (mainly with the help of big3, and hookers) but nothing really gets me, like *doesn't know how to word this and probaly sounds like a moron right now*. Reccomend me bands/artists i've looked around and checked into alot of things, along with the help of hookers and big3 (ill list the stuff down below). So yeahh, I don't really care what genre it belongs to I just need something.
The Weakerthans The Shins Ok Go Super Furry Animals Flaming Lips Stereolab Belle and Sebastian John Butler Trio Aphex Twins Beck My Bloody Valentine Jack Johnson Tracy Chapman Mercury Rev Dresden Dolls David Bowie Pelican Sonic Youth Echo and the Bunnymen Ambulance LTD Explosions In The Sky Of Montreal The Redwalls The Thrills Portishead Figurine Sahara Hotnights Aqualung Kashmir Mew Lovedrug She Wants Revenge I have to let alot of these bands kind of sink in first, but thats what i've checked out so far, and i'd appreciate lots more to listen to.

In case you're wondering why I'm suddenly obessed with them, I saw them live last night and they were great! Anyway, these are a bunch of really good new-ish artists you should check out...
12twelve (Jazz/House fusion type thing with some Post-Rockish influences) Aerial (Dutch Post-Rock band) The Changes (Chicago-based Indie Rock band) Hot Chip (Mellow-ish Electronic) Hypatia Lake (Noisy Shoegaze-ish Post-Rock) I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness (Indie Rock, their EP was produced by Britt from Spoon!  )The Most Serene Republic (Indie Rock band from Canadia. They're on Arts & Crafts, so they have to be good!) Portugal. The Man (typical Indie Rock stuff) Rahim (Artsy Post-Punk influenced Indie Rock) Red Sparowes (Best Post-Rock album of last year, hands down) Rumble In Rhodos (More Indie Rock stuff, I don't really like their album all that much, but a friend of mine swears by it) Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (Really good Indie Pop) And as always whenever someone asks me to recommend them something, listen to lots and lots of Les Savy Fav. |

I Love You But Ive Chosen Darkness Most Serene Republic Red Sparowes Portugal. The Man Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin Thats the only artists I could find stuff by, and i'll post my thoughts on 'em in a few days after I check all of them out more and let it sink in and what not.
