This album has two things going for it, and both are covers. To wit: the cover of "My Lonely Sad Eyes" and the album cover itself. People [with otherwise good taste] listen to this???

Laid Back - Hole In the Sky

The last album I downloaded which turned out to be terrible. There's one terrific song on it but otherwise it's absolute tripe

Pitchfork told me it was great.
My best friend, who has this amazing taste in music, told me it was fantastic, and all I wanted to do was drill a hole in my brain the entire time I listened. I was told that the lyrics were the winning bits of this band, but **** are they terrible. They are absolutely trash. Just read the lyrics of the first song, "Stuck Between Stations," and think about some dude talk/singing these lyrics with absolutely the worst delivery in music history. Just do it.

If Pitchfork told you it was great and it's a new release then you have been duped-that site is bollocks quite frankly.

I cannot comment on the album or the band, but Pitchfork would have been my warning sign.
