Add another "I'm a fan but not a huge fan."

He'd be at least a couple hundred slots down on a list of favorites. My list of favorites would be well over 1000 artists, though. I like Waits more once his arrangements get quirkier and more elaborate.

"Very" is an unnecessary qualifier for the word "unique". By definition, unique is one of a kind, so you cannot be very one of a kind.
