Though i like a lot of indie, i also hate a lot of it as well.. Of course it isn't really a genre at all (with no real musical discription, at least that i'm aware of) but just a vague term where many bands with absolutely nothing in common whatsoever get stuck in this lousy category, The Arcade Fire and The Black Keys don't even belong in the same sentence let alone the same category... And more so it's the amount of fans who almost seem to think that the more obscure, dull, annoying and unlistenable the band is, the better... That's really what gets my panties in a twist.

I just refer to all indie bands as alternative, because that's basically what they are, independent label or not.
