I admit that I only know of Battles because I liked the album cover.

I also love how Battles' aesthetic is so minimalist.

Well, it has a bunch of different meanings depending on the context, but my favorite has to do with astronomy

Gravitational singularity - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basically, a point in spacetime where gravitational forces causes matter to have an infinite density and zero volume. really mind-boggling. and that's what I interpret that cover to depict, since it resembles a black hole somewhat (well, if black holes were possible to depict)
