Nobody can beat the name, "Goatpenis".

Yes, it's a real band.

Been listening to these guys quite a bit lately.

Hardly ever get a mention.

Just bought an Iced Eath Cd the other day- it's cool. I've only heard two Blind Guardian songs but they're really good too.

Nada Surf never gets mentioned on this forum or really anywhere else. I love them.

Concrete Blonde. If you haven't heard of them, you may have heard of their lead singer, Johnette Napolitano. She has been in several bands (Vowel Movement, Pretty & Twisted) and has an amazing voice.

Everclear. They've gotten an enormous amount of shit over the course of their career and seem to be generally regarded as crap by most people who are really into music, but IMO they've written a hell of a lot of good pop songs over the course of their career.

Kings X. Masters Of Reality. Mother Tongue. Mansun.

They all brought their own idiosyncracities to the classic template and that is what I was looking for @ 18.

Arctic Monkeys. Once you get past all of the hype you'll realize Alex Turner is a fantastic song writer.
