Same here, besides Batmotorfinger, I don't think they really put out anything half decent. I do hold a bit of a bias against grunge music in general so I hope my opinion doesn't offend anyone, while I think Superunknown was a competent record, I don't think it did anything to raise any eyebrows or do anything dangerous.

As far as bands that I think are underrated, I would have to go with Strapping Young Lad, while they do have a fair underground fan base, I think they were one of the few metal bands to come out in the past 12-15 years that could hit so many buttons right. It had tongue-in-cheek humour, anger, skullets, and it spanned a lot of the extreme metal genre, trying bits and pieces and seeing what happens when you mix it all together.

Nurse.
But I think there's two bands called Nurse. The one I'm talking about is the good one. (I think they've broken up)

Definitely. Pharrell gets to be overrated when he's working with other artists, but when it comes to the band he's in, not that many people notice - unless it was a sweet music video with naked chicks galore. Not to say I mind, but "Lapdance" and "Rockstar" were the only songs I heard remotely publicized from In Search Of ..

I disagree. I don't think they were underrated or overrated. I think they got just as much mainstream attention as they deserved, but I would have to say that what you get to hear on the radio is by no way their best material.

I'm a huge fan. Not so much of their really early work like the Screaming Life/FOPP EP or Ultramega OK. But Badmotorfinger, Superunknown and Down on the Upside are all three extremely loved albums.

An underrated band, in my opinion, would be something along the lines of Mr. Bungle, Dysrhythmia, Behold... the Arctopus,Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention or Frank Zappa in general.

One of the most overrated bands ever is probably Led Zeppelin, if only for the fact that the two most talented members of the band are the ones who were largely over-looked.

Rockstar and She Wants to Move are basically the only ones that were. Their latest album, Seeing Sounds, is one of the best I've heard. But no where are they in the media.

MTV is media. I saw their album on a Zune commercial too, right alongside Rick Ross. That's pretty big.
