Was on quite the Go Betweens kick last night... and they most certainly were worth the kick! Its possible they are maybe not underrated though as has been pointed out... they are kinda well respected in alot of circles... that being said, there are times I feel they get a little too overlooked considering the high quality of their music...

amazing how a terrible band like Green Day can have more air play and be more popular than an extremely talented band like Alter Bridge who is far more talented than most of the popular artists today... miley cyrus.. jonas brothers... are you ****in kidding me... ****in little kids.

The whole teen pop star sensation is terribly devoid of originality, that is most definitely true! I guess it caters to a market segment that isn't looking for great deal of experimentation, rule challenging or even technical prowess.... it's the rather vacuous world of catchy, quick thrills...

Ironically even as a teen I never sought out that kind of music... I always wanted to get more out of my listening that quick cheap thrills.... I liked to be challenged.

But there seems to be this huge segment of consumers who want canned, catchy, unchallenging music...

Green Day and Jonas Brothers are leagues better than Alter Bridge.

Now if Alter Bridge doesn't get as much airplay, I dunno, call it a blessing from Jesus, but I think it has something to do with there already being a hundred bands who sound just like them, just not quite as awful.

It's not 1999 anymore, crappy music has to evolve too, and I really don't mind Jonas Brothers to tell you the truth, at least it's better than what was making the charts 10 years ago, y'know, like Creed.

A criminally overlooked band.... I'm listening to them now.... Screamfeeder from Brisbane Australia... their creative / popular peak was in the late nineties / early naughties... but their album Rocks on the Soul is damn near faultless from the opening track to the lengthy closer.... damn fine album throughout!

I don't think Screamfeeder are underrated. I remember them clearly and I didn't think they were much chop to be honest...

I guess I'm looking at it from an outside of Australia perspective... or something like that... as for them not being much chop... well, thats something I'll agree to disagree on... :-) I personally love their stuff.

But I'm not claiming to have the world's greatest taste in music... I guess I jsut like what I like...
