This is so unfair. How can it be possible to choose between these two?
And how many who have voted have actually heard Aretha Franklin's album?

Jimi can't sing soul with the feeling and passion of Aretha and I doubt she can play guitar with a fraction of the natural talent possessed by Hendrix.

That and I love the both of them...can't choose.
Yes I can...Aretha Franklin - 'I Never Loved a Man the Way That I Love You.'

Be honest, if you've not heard this album, then make it your job to listen to it soon.
There's only one word to describe it...exquisite.

Oh right-track, I knew someone would be offended that we all would vote jimi. I just didn't think you'd fall victim.

Just because Aretha was given more talent vocally than jimi was does not mean he sings with less passion.

In my opinion, more people give aretha "cred" because they ought to, Jimi still lights a burning fire in 14 year olds to this day. Jimi Hendirx isn't a musician, he was a tangible muse.

either way, right-track has a point. While Jimi's music contained elements of soul and both musicians are black, he and Aretha are great for different reasons and therefore not fairly comperable. I think I could only make a final decision on that if there was a gun to my head.

Big3, i understand that you're defending Jimi, but not a musician?... What kind of critical analisis is that?... This is not GG Allin were talking about here, we're talking about who is argubly the most influencial guitarist in the world, so are you going to pull an Urban out of your ass and say it's only about image?... C'mon... You of all people should know better.
