They must be people who aren't very familiar with post-punk as a whole.

The similarities with the dancing is there, the band are obviously influenced by them, and I imagine the lead singer's biggest inspiration is Ian Curtis. He has similar mannerisms on stage as Ian, except Ian was epically brilliant. It's quite a loose comparison, but a comparison nonetheless.

Jackie is really great, so far he still pretty unknown I'd recommend him to anyone.

I didn't buy this on vinyl but I'm quite enjoying it. It's got a real nice studio feeling however without feeling digital. Lots of instrument pieces, older style beats (a lot more emphasis on the snare drum beat), and a jazzy feeling driving it all.

I found Drive-By Truckers "The Dirty South" on vinyl at Streetside Records and picked it up.

One of the greatest albums ever recorded by anyone, ever.

Jackie Greene is AWESOME.

Seen him four or five times now, and he's back on the Mule tour, so I may be seeing him again soon!

His new one is great...but Giving Up The Ghost is still my fave; my girlfriend's fave is American Myth.

Great to see JG getting some love, but he's far from an "unknown", at least in my circles.
