The most recent release from this band from L.A. They usually play a lounge/exotica style of music, but instrumental surf rock is also something they occasionally dabble in. This is the latter. Enjoyable from start to finish.

The Surfrajettes - Easy as Pie (2024)

The second album from these gals from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Diner-themed instrumental surf-rock with a classic surf-rock sound & vibe. Tasty & enjoyable listening all the way through.

Thundering thumpers from the Dunwich Records catalog, featuring the Shadows Of Knight, The Luv’d Ones, Things To Come, The Banshees, and absolutely no crumbs!

Chicago was home to one of the most vibrant American rock ‘n’ roll scenes of the mid-sixties and the most prolific outlet for Chicago’s rockin’ teen sound between 1966-67 was Dunwich Records. From its very first commercial release, “Gloria” by the Shadows of Knight, to classics by the Del-Vetts, the Banshees, Saturday’s Children and Knaves (to name just a few), the label was, in retrospect, arguably the most consistent garage rock production house of its era.

The label, with its cryptically named subsidiaries like Yuggoth Music, outrageously hip art department, and amazing roster of garage bands, was formed by three jazz buffs: Eddie Higgins, George Badonsky and Bill Traut.

Bridge Records is pleased to issue the latest recording by Partch Ensemble, the Grammy Award winning new music group specializing in the music and instruments of the iconoclastic American composer Harry Partch. Partch's "The Wayward" in the composer's own words, is “a collection of musical compositions based on the spoken and written words of hobos and other characters—the result of my wanderings in the Western part of the United States from 1935 to 1941.” This is the world premiere recording of Partch's complete cycle.
