Botch - We are the Romans Fantastic Metal/Math-core with a post-hardcore vibe. Definitely a keeper. |

OFF! - OFF! (2012) Decent, abrasive, retro-sounding hardcore punk. Can definitely hit the spot, depending on mood, and at a shade over 15 minutes in length, what have you got to lose? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ave_Behind.jpg CONVERGE - ALL WE LOVE WE LEAVE BEHIND (2012) Never bothered with Converge, so this album was my first. While it may not be entirely my thing, I was rather impressed in places. Good enough for me to go backwards with their discography now, and probably start with Jane Doe. http://lunachan.net/media/src/133558497373.jpg SIGUR ROS - VALTARI (2012) Another album I've put off and now wishing I hadn't. I wasn't too sure what to expect, didnt particularly have high expectations, and while it may not be as good as () and Takk, it's beautiful. http://www.whitedwarfrock.com/media/..._ahocht_02.jpg SLOMATICS - A HOCHT (2012) Not as straight forward sludge/doom as previous efforts, which is what I was expecting. On first listen it seemed to be more minimalist in places. Definitely gonna get another spin very soon. |
last album I bought was The Sundays - Reading, Writing and Arithmetic (1990) and the last one I donwloaded was Antena - Camino del Sol (1982), both great pop albums worth checking out

Found Herbie Hancock's Sextant at the goodwill for a buck. I haven't listened to it yet but I've been digging lots of Herbie lately so I figured it would be great. |
