For the past week I have been listening to the discography of Sonata Arctica. Damn they have some great songs!

Death Grips - Exmilitary

This is my favourite of their discography, been listening to it lately. I like the more tribal feel to this one.

Shanked and Slithering - Controlled Bleeding

Just a pure noise album. Kind of like Metal Machine Music. Nothing more to it than that.

Golgotha - Controlled Bleeding

Sort of odd industrial, dark and ambient. Not mind blowing but nice to listen to.

David Shire -The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974)

Fantastic dissonant jazz film score, using 12-tone composition (which limits the melodic line to 12 notes played in various orders) to express the tension and fear running throughout the film.

The new Current 93 album.
Has guest appearances from Nick Cave, John Zorn, the guy from Anthony & The Johnsons as well as members of The Groundhogs, Comus & These New Puritans.

I think I'll be happier than a pig in shit listening to this.

Bike For Three! - So Much Forever (2014)

Been awhile since I've heard anything from Buck 65, but from what I've read from his Facebook posts he's ready to get back into the musical world. This album has far less of a hip hop approach and more electronic, although I've always thought of his Bike For Three! project to be more of an electronic outfit anyways. Production is great, and Buck 65 is as sharp as ever with his rhymes. Definitely give it a look.
