Had no idea this existed until yesterday.

I'd just like to point out that he looks like he's going to bust the fuck out of that suit if he flexes.

Jens Lekman - Night Falls Over Kortedala

Goofle I think you might like this.

Psy-Fi 08-16-2016 06:34 AM

Been a long time since I've listened to this band.

From Here We Go Sublime by The Field

ah I seem to forget how good this album is. Always slips off my radar until I pick it back up again. Perfect album to start my day off.

Crystal Castles - Amnesty I

It leaked. Frankly I'm just glad a Crystal Castles record was made without the actual record called Crystal Castles. These beats are so trashy in a really great way. Harkens back to their amateurish early lofi-ish days. And the new chick sounds great with Ethan's production.

Ihsahn - the Adversary
http://jonathanhill.eu/wp-content/up...sary-Cover.jpg
I like Ihsahn a lot, but his newest album, Arktis, kind of disappointed me despite how it harvested top-scores seemingly everywhere.
The only album I didn't have was his first, so I got my hands on this to complete the discography.
Despite being his first solo record, it sounds very fully formed and is mostly a very good album.
Even better is how it sounds very lively in comparison to Arktis, which sounds pretty sterile and dull to me.

Dude111 08-18-2016 10:19 AM

Yesterday I got A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS first record :)

AVACE & GRXTN - Visions at sea. I found this album on reddit couple days ago. Here is a link on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/avacegrxtn

Fury - Paramount

Thrash punk for people who think hardcore doesn't exist anymore.

Fyi, it fucking does.

Taking this for a spin on the turntable...

Faith in Strangers by Andy Stott

somehow I haven't heard this until now. Different breed than Luxury Problems (which I adore), but I could eventually see myself liking this more. Really love his work and just found out he's got a new album out this year as well. Think I may hop on that later today.

Have you seen The Color of Noise yet?

The interview with Cosmic Psychos is awesome.

Early impressions, to me it's almost certainly a record of B-sides that weren't good enough for his proper return. I hope none of these tracks make it on album two. He raps too much and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm feeling a decent to strong 6.

No. I'll have to check it out.

Saw them at The Rathskeller in Boston, around 1989/90. Ross Knight fell off the stage and landed on top of one of the people I was there with.
Still have a Cosmic Psychos t-shirt from the show.

Good times!

bob. 08-20-2016 11:48 AM

Seriously jealous.

i had a chance to see them when they were touring with the screening of the film about them but fucked it up

there are rumors of a 2017 US tour so i'll be there if it happens....Lubricated Goat and Cosmic Psychos are literally my idea of ideal Australians

Color of Noise has been added to Hulu if you subscribe and is in my opinion the best music doc ever made....but then it consists of interviews with Cosmic Psychos, God Bullies, Cows, Today is the Day, Hammerhead, Lubricated Goat , Helmet, Halo of Flies....basically the entire AmRep line up

any documentary that has a straight faced line like "those goldfish are doomed" wins in my book

I do that if it's the last comment on a page so when I blog what I really want I'm first on the new page.

Faun Fables - Light of a Vaster Dark

I bought this on a whim. Described as acid folk somewhere - not that I even know what that is. Sounds a bit like the The Mamas & the Papas, but only very superficially speaking. I had heard a song on youtube that I liked from the album, so I took a chance when I found the disc for cheap on Amazon. I'm listening to it right now. Seems cool, but I can't say for sure yet.

I don't like when they try the grainy vocal delivery thing, but it harkens back a tad to their Knife Man days a little which I'm enjoying a lot.

Pity Sex - White Hot Moon

this band never disappoints....a perfect blend of shoegaze and pop music....easily one of the best albums of the year

http://payload463.cargocollective.co...1464197914.jpg
Thee Oh Sees - A weird Exits

half way through track one and i rated this five stars.....

Dylstew 08-22-2016 09:15 AM

Strapping young lads alien and city. Where has this been all my life? Best extreme metal ever.

Radiohead - In Rainbows

Not sure how I feel about this yet. It's like a mixture of the albums I've already heard, so I think i'll like it. Definitely a lot more experimental in this album than the other one's i've heard.

Jackie Mittoo - Macka Fat (1971)

I'm usually not into reggae but this is one of the few, rare exceptions. Perfect music for a hot, lazy summer afternoon.
