Alice In Ultraland is an incredible album, as you say, so I expect good things to say the elast.

Huh I don't have that one (FSOL that is) which is weird cause I thought I grabbed their discography a few months ago. I haven't really given it much of a listen though, what's a good album to start off with besides the first?

Lost Tribe - Soulfish (1994)

Mid 90's jazz-hop obscurity that looks like the offspring between King Crimson and A Tribe Called Quest with heavy metal eyelashes. Kudos to whoever's on drums here, cause he's fucking amazing.

Starcastle - Starcastle (1976)

A highlight amdist the mostly mediocre American art-rock scene of the 70's, and I'm loving it so far. These poor guys get quite a beating from critics for sounding a lot like Yes, but considering how godlike the bass playing is here, who really gives a shit?

Mutyumu - Mutyumu (2006)

The strangest and most haunting post-rock album I've heard in months. +30 cool points to Japan!

For FSOL? If you like Alice In Ultraland, Lifeforms or the Isness are probably your best bet. Dead Cities is the one everyone cites as the classic, but it leans much more towards acid/progressive house than their later works. If you don't have any of those three, just drop me a PM and I'll find something for you.

Trouble with FSOL is that the old Garry Cobain/Brian Dougans partnership has about 20 recording aliases as well as the Amorphous Androgynous - Yage, Humanoid and Partly-Sub-Merged to name a few. I've been trying to complete their discography for a while now, but they are insanely prolific.

The 6th: Hyacinths and Thistles

I'm a sucker for those Merritt vocals so on first listen I found this a bit disappointing, but I got over it pretty fast. This is more like traditional Magnetic Fields, back to when they were in their prime.. not as good but a nice reflection for the fans.

^ And these three to plug some gaps in my FSOL/Amorphous Androgynous collection. Dunno about you, but the bottom sleeve cover there is the coolest I've seen in yonks.

I was just thinking to myself that it's really nice looking.

Green River - Dry As A Bone/Rehab Doll
I've been meaning to get this for a long time now, and i'm sorry i didnt get it earlier. Grunge in it's purest form, it sounds raw, energetic, and a million miles away from Creed. This is the real deal.

The discographies of: Massive Attack, The Undisputed Truth, Slave, and Blonde RedHead. Still working on Scott Walker and John Martyn. Also I got a couple Aghadan Alqak albums, haven't even unzipped them yet though.
