The label Subconscious Records was started by two guys from Skinny Puppy in the early 90s, for some side projects that were more electronic/techno-oriented versus the industrial stuff like Skinny Puppy and past projects. It was looking into the future, basically, as Skinny Puppy was crumbling. The label was also intending to release stuff from the Skinny Puppy "vault", basically stuff that never saw the light of day. Demos, outtakes, live recordings, and whatever else never made it to album...for SP and their side projects. So they put together a 7-disc series called From the Vault for all of this stuff, and sold it to the fans. A second volume was released a few years ago (again 7 discs) but this time it featured some discs with unreleased material, and some brand new albums from the side projects (which weren't really side projects anymore, they were the main focus, as Skinny Puppy broke up around 95 and didn't reform till around 2003). And now we have a brand new set called Beyond the Vault...because it's the first time they're releasing material by artists other than themselves. 4 of the 7 CDs are by such artists, and the other 3 are brand new material from their own bands. All 3 series have been available only through the label. Which is sort of a shame for those that aren't fanboys...since many of the earlier works by Download, The Tear Garden and PlatEAU were distributed by other labels and reached a wider audience...while these you have to know about because you're not gonna run across them at the store. Most of it is in the IDM/techno style, some of the new artists could be considered breakcore, while Tear Garden is neo-psychedelic with a lot of electronic experimentation on this one. Tear Garden is a side project between Skinny Puppy and The Legendary Pink Dots that has released 6 albums since the late 80s.

Too much? :D

No way, just the right amount. They sound like cool guys, I should probably give Skinny Puppy a listen. I have a few of my uncles LPs at home but I never really took the time to put them on.

Gotta get me some new music soon, but I am going to see if I can somehow recover my lost copy of Desert Lights by Something for Kate by downloading the tracks from various sources... I kinda miss that album...

^I've been meaning to give that album a go, but never knew what to expect.
A really good electronic/Britpop music with a touch of psychedelia, I liked it from the first listen. My thanks to Story for recommending it (and for the link :D).

Edit: I have to say tho that the album includes some really weak fillers, ruining the mood in a drastic manner.
