Test Icicles - For Screening Purposes Only

An interesting album, has some decent stuff on it and has a certain unique trait that I can't quite place. Doubt I'll look further into these guys, but for an album to break up my usual listening routine of metal, hip hop, and country it does the job nicely.

for some reason i have this on CD, i know what you mean, it is like cartoony thrash metal, and they broke up after this album - the guitarist became *sigh* Lightspeed Champion

Yndi Halda - Enjoy Eternal Bliss (2006)

Interesting and a tad more cinematic than most of its ilk, this baby here mixes folk and post-rock together in such a way that it simply must be heard in order to be believed at times.

Michael Jackson - Off The Wall [Special Edition/Remastered] (1979)

His best album, no explanation necessary. Should have gotten it earlier I suppose...

Amon Düül II - Wolf City (1972)

About as accessible as Krautrock ever got without losing its essence. Kudos for the spacey atmosphere also.

 Nice metaphor, I guess that's true.

New Animal Collective ??!!??!? Yep. Fall Be Kind EP. Comes out in a month. Supposedly it's darker and more ambient. Hopefully it'll be a bit different than MPP. I'll be listening to it on my drive for sure :)

I was told Curtis Mayfield meets Prince. If that is true then this should be quite the album.

i think you'll find that was the US title, the censors must have got to it over here. or was it the other way round... The only listenable horrorcore album ever anyway, surely? 'positive energy activates constant elevation'

good call on Slick, 'the art of storytelling' is up there too

yeah, horrorcore is pretty terrible in both theory and execution and this is perhaps the only exception to the rule. too bad it gets overlooked by many wu fans in favor of the plethora of solo albums they made.

I must be the only person on MB to be completely dumbfounded by the love for MJ.
