I really enjoyed "The Ocean's" two 2010 releases, but everyone was going ape-sh___it over how bad "Heliocentric" was in comparison to their 2 disc post-metal opus "Precambrian", so being a big fan of their recent work, I had high exceptions for this double disc. Needless to say, I've not been disappointed. The first disc, which is EP length is nothing special, but the second disc rules.

Jonas Olson who produced the album lives in my original hometown. He's a great producer and has worked with some bands that my friends play in. He has also produced all the Callisto albums. If you like The Ocean you should check out Callisto. Great finnish post-metal. Start with Noir since it's propably their best album
