Calexico - Algiers

Really like this album. It's not as good as their best stuff (Carried to Dust, The Black Light) but it is certainly worth checking out.

I just found my local record store for the first time.. a bit sad I know. Not the greatest selection but hey, they are the last one around.

I picked up Neil Young's Harvest Moon, Pink Floyd's Wish You Where Here, and Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde. Not too bad of a score if I do say so myself!

BATS - The Sleep Of Reason (2012)
The second album from this post-hardcore/math-rock band and the last release ever on the Richter Collective label (also home to And So I Watch You From Afar). It manages to be loud, brash yet have some great skewed and jerky melodies. October is turning out to be a great month for new albums.

The Pleasure Seekers - What A Way To Day

for years i have been under the impression that this amazing band only released two 45s...and i was right....but the recorded and album of material which has been remasters and released....loving this

Cradle - The History

and then i found out that Suzi was in a band....again with her sisters called Cradle in between The Pleasure Seekers and her solo career....groovy witchy psychedelic rock...good stuff

Just added this one from The Seeds to my collection...

A bit of an unfocused effort overall but, after all, it's psychedelia from 1967.

THE WHITE STRIPES - WHITE BLOOD CELLS (2001)

Reminds me of being at school, reminds me of a time where I got all my music recommendations from MTV2 and that **** Zane Lowe, and reminds me of friends, especially a dear friend of mine who is no longer with us.

I am loving the hell out of this album all over again this morning.

Classic album, mate. It's nostalgic for me also

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid Maad City (2012)

Well I wish I was more excited for this release, but there has been a lot of negative feedback. Maybe it was all a ploy and the leaked copy was a decoy of inferior quality?
