First line, 1st verse:

I hear you on the ra..dio..You turn me in my sk..in..

Mid Chorus: (Your No Jesus)..

? Thanks!
That's not Placebo, that's 'Megalomaniac' by Incubus.

If you want to check out some Placebo though get this album:

Man, that was KILLING me...I thought it was Incubus hahaha.

I thought I must be a really lame Placebo fan for not knowing what he was talking about...

While I'm here, does anyone have any thoughts on new Placebo? I think they kinda lost the magic after Sleeping With Ghosts.

Haha I had to think for a while too, "you turn me in my skin" seems like typical Placebo lyrics to me, but then I remembered what the chorus was.

I haven't even checked out any of their new songs, they're a band I've sort of lost faith in. Meds wasn't too bad but Battle For The Sun was terrible, that album made me give up hope. I still think their first three albums are the most essential.

I completely agree. Without You I'm Nothing still gets positive reactions from people when I put it on...I'm always surprised at how few people have actually listened to this band.

Anyway, they just put out a new EP and it's basically another Battle For The Sun...very sad.

Wow! Megalomaniac by Incubus. The vocals especially sounds so much like Placebo. Even the music. And all this time..

Thanks guys.

You think Incubus sound like Placebo? As soon as Brian Molko starts to sing, you know it can only be Placebo.

Strangely enough just the other day, I sent a cycling clip to a friend of mine and the soundtrack is from Placebo and it just goes so well with the clip.

It seems to be the Placebo album of choice with fans around my neck of the woods, it still stands up as their best album to me. There's still quite a few fans over here but it can be hard to notice them at times these days, some of my friends love them though.

Yeah I don't think I'll give that new EP a listen, I've heard nothing but negative responses to it.

No problemo. I used to to listen to a bit of Incubus back in the day but not anymore.

I just can't get into placebo's vocals.

It's so...

I know I'll be shot down here, but it reminds me of nasal, american teen, blink182, style singing.
"fearrrr, around herrrrre"
with a real eeee-rrrrrre sound on the r's.

Just puts me off, which is a shame because the music sounds good to me.

Haha, yeah the vocals seem to be the deciding factor for a lot of people. I don't think the way Brain Molko uses his voice is really that similar to bands like Blink 182, but I can see why some people can think that. It's the same with the Smashing Pumpkins, it's the vocals that seems to divide peoples' opinions.

I'm familiar with a few of Placebos popular singles from back in the day, don't really remember the title to any of them except Pure Morning. I can understand why some listeners would be turned off by the vocal style.

That is a good example comparing Placebo vocals to the Pumpkins ZerO. Ive noticed the same thing with a lot of people that dislike U2 for that exact reason (vocals).
