no lists for me.. but a few names.

Stephen O'Malley. anyone who can make such horrible yet spectacular noises with a guitar has got to be respected.

Toby Driver.. multi-instrumentalist (guitar, cello, bells, double-bass, keyboard) and composer, a young classically trained musician fronting the doom-drone band, Kayo Dot. also a mention to girlfriend/band member Mia Matsumiya (violin, viola).

Jim Wyskida, drummer of Khanate. although not recognised as a particularly talented drummer.. to set the rhythum for a band as slow and sparse as Khanate takes some impeccible timing.

Keiren Hebden, aka Four Tet... and Venetian Snares. my two favourite electronic artists.

John Evans... Knew i forgot someone.

Loved the piano and organ work on Thick As Brick, though everybody is equally good on that record.

C'mon kids, it's not like you have to put a whole lot of thought into it... I would just like a little insight into your favorite musicians, don't be shy.

I am a bass player so I have a natural inkling to amazing bass players. My favourite is Billy Sheehan. I love his Melodic sense on Bass which I tend to play (not slap influenced to be honest!) and his to handed tapping is immense!

Guitar players I love are Hendrix (the originator, the innovator!), Clapton (all about his blues man!), James Dean Bradfield (underated, good rythym player, syncopated chords etc...) and Zakk Wylde (just pure ballsy!). I love loads more but these are my main influences.
