Musical Tastes
Thanks for clicking. :)
This topic is to tell people what music I like. These are some bands and artists whom I listen to, and I don't care whether anyone thinks that they're crap. They're not in any order (eg. genres), because I can't be arsed doing all that. So here goes: R.E.M. R.E.O. Speedwagon Simply Red Mariah Carey Livin' Joy Alex Party Journey Heart Phil Collins Peter Gabriel Saxon Poison Also, if people clicked on profiles (like I do), they would know what music I'm into anyway. :) So what music does everyone else listen to? |
I listen to a lot of music, typing it all out would take too long. It's usually humorous-indie-emo-ish. But punk/rock too sometimes.
I'm not really into hardcore/screamo, but sometimes it's OK. |
|
Up until registering here, I was somewhat closed as to the music I listened to. Ironically enough my tastes have grown wider even though I haven't left behind the bands I liked in the first place.
So basically, I still like the bands I've liked and now like some others. And I don't care if you guys think they suck. 'Cause it's my taste in music, and as I said in my introduction thread: Quote:
Disturbed System Of A Down (older > newer) Avenged Sevenfold The Mars Volta Bullet For My Valentine De La Soul Trapt Weezer Iron Maiden Green Day Seether Rise Against Puddle of Mudd Lostprophets Three Days Grace Shinedown 10 Years Crossfade ("Colors" is my favorite) Mudvayne I'll listen to classic rock from time to time as well but I don't really have much of the music. I'm not a fan of country music -- just don't like the sound of the majority of it -- and I'm still not a big fan of rap, but I'm (slowly) becoming tolerant of it. And I'm always open to new music, so don't hesitate. EDIT: Added some bands. |

And it's good to see someone with an open mind. Your point about your taste in music (in the quote in your post) is as valid now, as it was then. |
Domino you made me remember some bands I'd missed on my list. *grumbles and goes to edit*

Red Sparowes, Genghis Tron... nice!
what are Subterranian Masquerade like? spotted their album in my local record shop and it had an interesting description. |
Very odd music. Think a more folky Opeth. It's very good stuff.

|
They're the best band ever.
Oh, *sheepish*, I forgot to list oldie stuff. Beatles Deep Purple Gentle Giant Pearl Jam (not old, but whatev) Led Zep. Meh, too tired. |
sup with all the pg.99 fans? I have never been to a forum and more than 1 person actually even knew who they were.
|
We're forming an emo elitist army.
|
Haha nice. At my other forum I'm the only one :(
|
Hey, eltist emo army.
Should we plan an orgy this friday? I have a bottle of whip cream, a saetia CD and some fun ideas involving handcuffs. |
Sounds like a plan. I'll bring my 7" vinyl. <3333
|
I'm gonna scream THERE IS NO HAPPY HERE when I orgasm.
|
im a r&b girl although i do wonder off and listen to other stuff. REM like them and simply red too
|
I actually cannot be bothered to type out a list of all the music i like.
it would be too long. i listen to a lot of different styles of music: pop punk rock trance hip hop hardcore dance and electronica rnb some metal indie alternative dnb post hardcore minimalist experimental acoustic piano yeah. hah, and i'd just like to say i hate narrow minded people, who only listen to one genre of music, not because it's all they like, but because they think it's cool to only like 'emo' or 'rock' and don't want to be known to like another genre, ha. I'm making no sense ! but i'm sure some of you catch my drift. |
i'll just put down a few...

I'd never have guessed from the quotes...
just as a matter of interest; Rust in Peace or Risk? So far every Megadeth fan I know (with a few exceptions) thinks rust in peace or risk is their best album, and thinks the other is crap. |
Definitely Rust In Peace.
You? |
I'm undecided. Risk is a great album, but so is Rust in Peace.
|
I think Rust In peace is much better than Risk, which is my least favourite album. Other than Risk, I love all the Deth albums.
Hopefully their new one should be really good too. |
yeah, I live in hope... I missed them when they played here, It sucked...
|
That's a shame. I haven't had the chance to see them live yet but I'll definitely go if they come to Glasgow after their new album is released. They'll be brilliant live.
